VTC Social Tennis
Sunday tennis starts Sunday, October 11 and continues through December 20, 2009. NOTE: Courts will be NOT be available Nov.15 th and Dec. 6 th , 2009. Please go to our Members Area and signup for Indoor play Choose the list time that you would like to play and add your name.
We have two courts for the 11:00 am to 1:00 pm session and three courts for the 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. session. Cost is $11 per person per session. To ensure that all members have an opportunity to play, bookings may only be made starting on the Monday before the Sunday you wish to play.
If there are too many requests, you may be put on the waiting list as someone may have to drop out and a late replacement may be needed. So signup early if you want to assure yourself a place to play. I may also request that you consider moving to a different session to complete our bookings.
Courtesy Notes
If you have booked in but are unable to play, please to contact Debbie ASAP so that a replacement can be found. Otherwise, three people are left stranded without a fourth. NOTE: No-shows are obliged to pay the $11.00 fee.
Please show up at least 10 minutes early to allow ample time to pay the contact person and get ready for your opening set. Please bring the $11.00 cash with you.
Format
The draws are made up ahead of time and posted. You play 3 sets of tennis, with and against different partners each time. You are allowed a 10-minute warm-up in the first set. Each subsequent set is 40 minutes long: the changeover times are indicated on the draw sheets. You can play the "first one in" for serve in the first set only. Deuces are played out. Balls are provided.

We have 2 courts reserved for our use on Tuesdays and Thursdays - 5:00 p.m. til dusk and Sundays -10:00 am til 1:00 p.m.
